Brazil‭ ‬-‭ ‬Irati Formation.

Artinskian of the Permian.

Fossil representation

At least one individual known by reasonably good remains.

       Brazilosaurus is a relative of the better known Mesosaurus,‭ ‬and like Mesosaurus,‭ ‬Brazilosaurus was a‭ ‬semi-aquatic reptile that hunted for fish and other small aquatic animals in the water.
