Fossil representation: Partial remains.
Jinanichthys was a small fish that lived in China during the early Cretaceous. Remains of Jinanichthys have been found inside a specimen of the early Cretaceous bird Confuciusornis, indicating that Jinanichthys were at least occasional prey for these birds.
