       Jinanichthys was a small fish that lived in China during the early Cretaceous.‭ ‬Remains of Jinanichthys have been found inside a specimen of the early Cretaceous bird Confuciusornis,‭ ‬indicating that Jinanichthys were at least occasional prey for these birds.
