Named By: Z.‭ ‬Cheng‭ & ‬J.‭ ‬Li‭ ‬-‭ ‬1997.
Synonyms: Stenocybus acidentatus.
Classification: Chordata,‭ ‬Synapsida,‭ ‬Therapsida,‭ ‬Dinocephalia,‭ ‬Anteosauridae,‭ ‬Anteosaurinae.
Species: S.‭ ‬yumenensis‭ (‬type‭)‬.
Diet: Carnivore.
Size: Skull roughly about‭ ‬12‭ ‬centimetres long.
Known locations: China‭ ‬-‭ ‬Xidagou Formation.
Time period: Wordian/Capitanian of the Permian.
Fossil representation: Partial skull.

       As an anteosaur,‭ ‬Stenocybus is a genus of dinocephalian therapsid that lived in China during the‭ ‬mid-Permian era.
