Diet: Herbivore.
Size: Unavailable due to lack of remains, as well
as the possibility that these may be from a juvenile.
Known locations: Brazil - Santa Maria Formation.
Time period: Carnian/Norian of the Triassic.
Fossil representation: Partial post cranial
skeleton found in a semi-articulated state. Holotype individual
possibly of a juvenile.
Polesinesuchus is one of a growing number of aetosaur genera that are steadily being discovered from Triassic aged rock formations in South America. Polesinesuchus is a stagonolepid aetosaur, meaning that it was more similar to genera such as Stagonolepis.
