       Although only described from a single upper jaw bone,‭ ‬Matheronodon is noteworthy among ornithopod dinosaurs for having teeth that are larger,‭ ‬but fewer in‭ ‬number to most other known ornithopods.‭ ‬The describers speculated that Matheronodon used a scissoring action to eat plants.
