Name: Stahleckeria.
Phonetic: Stah-lek-e-re-ah.
Named By: Friedrich von Huene‭ ‬-‭ ‬1935.
Classification: Chordata,‭ ‬Synapsida,‭ ‬Therapsida,‭ ‬Dicynodontia,‭ ‬Stahleckeriidae.
Species: S.‭ ‬potens‭ (‬type‭)‬.
Diet: Herbivore.
Size: Up to about‭ ‬4‭ ‬meters.
Known locations: Brazil‭ ‬-‭ ‬Santa Maria Formation.‭ ‬Namibia‭ ‬-‭ ‬Omingonde Formation.
Time period: Ladinian of the Triassic.
Fossil representation: Partial remains of several individuals.

       Stahleckeria is a genus of very large dicynodont therapsid that lived in both South America and Africa.‭ ‬Like other dicynodonts,‭ ‬Stahleckeria was a herbivore that ate low growing vegetation.‭ ‬When fully grown Stahleckeria would have had few predators,‭ ‬though large rauisuchians would have still been a potential threat.
